Lumbar Radiofrequency Ablation for People with Low Back Pain

(IRB#: IRB_00181348)

Lumbar radiofrequency ablation (LRFA) is a treatment used to prevent a targeted nerve in the body from sending pain signals to the brain. This study will compare treatments for low back pain. Participants with chronic low back pain will be randomly assigned to a lumbar radiofrequency ablation (LRFA) or another treatment that may improve pain. The study wants to learn how well LRFA works to improve low back pain. Study participation will take about 3 to 4 hours over 12 months.
