Financial Hardship of LGBTQ+ People Living with Dementia and Their Care Partners

(IRB#: IRB_00179914)

Dementia is a condition that can cause memory loss and impair individuals ability to make decisions. The effects of this condition can cause financial hardship. This study wants to develop a survey tool to assess the financial hardship for all people living with dementia and their care partners. However, we are currently recruiting only LGBTQ+ persons living with dementia and their care partners, as we have already completed focus groups with non-LGBTQ+ persons with dementia and their care partners. People in the study will answer brief questionnaires and participate in a one-time online group discussion using a technology device such as a computer. Participation lasts about 90 minutes. Each participant will receive $75 for participation.
