Testing the REMI System for People with Seizure Events

(IRB#: IRB_00171153)

The REMI is a type of sensor placed on a persons head to monitor brain activity. This study will test if the REMI system EEG data (the measure of electrical activity in the brain) can be used to identify ictal (seizure) events over time. A seizure is when uncontrolled electric activity in the brain causes uncontrolled body movements. The study wants to see if extended EEG data could help diagnose and treat seizure-related symptoms. Being in the study requires several in-person visits to a study clinic for about 1 month. This includes wearing the REMI system at home and completing surveys. Medical tests will be done during the study to track the health of participants.
