Predicting and Understanding Pelvic Organ Prolapse

(IRB#: IRB_00165757)

Pelvic organ prolapse occurs as pelvic muscles and tissues weaken causing health issues such as urinary and bowel problems. This study will look at the potential of a type of magnetic resonance imaging (tool used to take pictures of the inside of the body) called diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) to understand how the disease progresses. The study wants to see if DTI could be used to diagnose pelvic organ prolapse much earlier in its progression. People in the study will complete a survey, medical exam, and an MRI. Being in the study requires attending 2 in person study visits at the clinic.
